First aid refresher training course

Who needs training?

Business first aiders; sports trainers; kindergarten, childcare workers and others who need advanced first aid training every 3 years. Prerequisite is first aid training of 16 hours or refresher training course of 6 to 8 hours within the last 3 years

What is the purpose of learning?

The purpose of refresher training course is to repeat and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during the basic training course.

What topics are covered?

  • assessment of an accident situation, acting in an accident situation (including coping with panic) and calling for emergency medical aid, assessment of the victim’s condition (including the dangers associated with changing the victim’s position), the nature and general principles of first aid, features of providing assistance in outdoor conditions, prevention of further health damage;
  • life-threatening conditions, their recognition and essential actions (including in case of heart attack, stroke and lung injury);
  • first aid in case of unconsciousness – ensuring free airways, preventing brain damage caused by lack of oxygen, removing a foreign body from the airways, resuscitation (including use of the resuscitation device AED);
  • first aid for injuries – superficial and deep injuries of the body, internal and external bleeding, methods of stopping bleeding, techniques and rules for dressing wounds, risks associated with fractures, rules for splinting and risks related to splinting, joint trauma (including dislocations and sprains), concussions and contusions of various body parts, eye damage;
  • first aid for drowning, poisoning, corrosion, burns, frostbite and electric shock;
  • the nature of medical shock and assisting a victim in shock;
  • first aid in case of sudden illness (for example epileptic seizure, diabetic coma, anaphylactic shock, fainting, asthma attack, abdominal pain);
  • selection and use of first aid equipment at the workplace.

What skills does the person who completed the training acquire?

  • knows the main rules and principles of first aid
  • can apply first aid techniques and use resuscitation techniques
  • can analyze his own actions and give instructions to other first aiders
  • can stop bleeding and help a victim in shock
  • can help with poisoning, burns, heat and cold damage
  • knows how to use an AED device
  • can take into account the safety of himself and others when giving first aid

How long does the training last?

1 study day, a total of 6 academic hours with practical activities

What is the price of the training?

50€ + VAT / participant (price includes classroom training, practice, study materials and certificate)

The conditions for completing the training and receiving the corresponding certificate are full participation in the training day and passing a test. Those who have successfully completed the training will be issued a first aid certificate, valid for 3 years

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes that allow you to perform practical exercises to participate in the training.
NB! The minimum group size is 10 people. For groups smaller than 10 people, ask for a separate quote.
