Study regulation terms of Pro Edu-Cat

1. General provisions

1.1 Pro Edu-Cat OÜ (Reg. no. 16820662) (hereinafter the Trainer) is based in its activities on the Adult Training Act, the Regulation “Standard of Continuing Education” attached to the aforementioned law, the guidance material for ensuring the quality of adult continuing education for adult continuing education institutions, the company’s business ethics, articles of association and the foundations of educational organization.

1.2 The Trainer has submitted an economic activity notification (no. 249282) regarding the basic and refresher training course of first aid providers.

1.3 Trainings take place all over Estonia, throughout the year according to the order.

1.4 The amount of training is calculated in academic hours. One academic hour is equal to 45 minutes. The duration of the trainings is indicated in the academic hours in the training information.

1.5 The trainings are held in Estonian (in English if necessary).

1.6 It is forbidden to film, record and/or take pictures at trainings without asking for permission.

1.7 Personal data is processed on the basis of the Personal Data Protection Act.

2. Conditions and procedure for admission to and exclusion from training

2.1 Registration for training:

2.1.1 It is possible to participate in training only by registering in advance.

2.1.2 Registration is possible via the website www.edu-cat.ee via the registration form for the selected training course; by sending an e-mail to the Trainer’s e-mail address: info@edu-cat.ee or by calling +372 5678 9990.

2.1.3 In order to register, it is necessary to provide the learner’s name(s), personal identification number(s), the name and address of the recipient of the invoice. The personal code is necessary for the certificate to be issued (requirement: § 3 subsection 3 of the Continuing Education Standard).

2.1.4 After registration, the training confirmation letter is sent to the learner/(in the case of in-house training) the subscriber (hereinafter the Subscriber) by e-mail.

2.1.5 The time, place and cost of the training are agreed in advance.

2.1.6 Registering for the training is equivalent to consent to pay the invoice.

2.1.7 The training takes place after payment of the invoice issued by the Trainer, unless otherwise agreed.

2.1.8 The learner confirms his/her participation in the training with his/her first and last name and signature on the corresponding registration sheet on the day of the training.

2.2 Exclusion from training, suspension or cancellation of training:

2.2.1 The Trainer has the right to cancel the training if there is little interest (the minimum group of 10 people cannot be filled) or postpone it. Those who have registered for the training will be immediately informed of the corresponding decision.

2.2.2 The Trainer has the right to withdraw from the training if the learner/Customer has not paid the invoice or has otherwise violated previous agreements.

2.2.3 The Trainer has the right to interrupt the training if the learner violates the order or other generally accepted norms of behavior.

2.2.3.1 In point 2.2.3. the money paid for training interrupted for the stated reason will not be returned. In the event that in point 2.2.3. due to the stated reasons, the trainer incurs material damage, which is also subject to full compensation by the learner/Customer.

2.2.3.2 In all other cases, if the training is incomplete or cancelled, a solution will be found by agreement between the parties.

3. Tuition payment and exemption and refund for training. Discounts.

3.1 Payment for trainings and training rooms:

3.1.1 Payment for the training is made on the basis of the invoice provided by the Trainer and according to the details indicated there.

3.1.2 The invoice will be sent to the e-mail address given by the learner/Customer for receiving the invoice. The invoice is issued by e-mail in PDF format.

3.1.3 The invoice must be paid by the due date. If the payment deadline is exceeded by up to 45 days and/or despite the reminders sent by the Trainer, the unpaid invoice is given to the debt collection company for further processing.

3.1.4 Tuition exemption is decided by the Trainer. In order to be exempted from the tuition fee, a reasoned application must be submitted to the e-mail address info@edu-cat.ee. The Trainer’s decision is forwarded to the applicant in written form.

3.1.5 Discounts are established on the tuition fee in accordance with the Trainer’s decision.

3.1.6 Discounted prices for trainings are visible in the training information.

3.1.7 The tuition fee includes training, study materials and a certificate.

3.1.8 If the Trainer needs to rent premises for the training, the rent of the premises shall be paid by the Customer of the training. Payment for the premises is made directly to the owner of the premises or to the Trainer based on a separate invoice. In the case of public trainings, the rent of the premises is included in the tuition fee.

3.1.9 The trainer is liable for VAT.

3.2 Tuition fee refund procedure and conditions:

3.2.1 If the learner/Customer notifies the Trainer at least 5 working days in advance of canceling the training, the Trainer will return 50% of the advance payment. There are no refunds for the rental of the training rooms once it has been paid.

3.2.2 If the learner/Customer notifies the Trainer less than 5 working days in advance of canceling the training, the advance payment will not be refunded. There are no refunds for the rental of the training rooms once it has been paid.

3.2.3 If the training is canceled for reasons on the part of the trainer, 100% of the advance payment will be refunded or a new training time will be agreed upon.

4. Other conditions important for the organization of training

4.1 Place and premises of the training:

4.1.1 Training takes place in premises rented for training or in the Customer’s training premises. The training rooms are furnished appropriately for training and equipped with the necessary tools.

4.1.2 The tools necessary for the training (learning materials; mannequins; tools for practical exercises) are provided by the Trainer.

4.2 Document to be issued after training:

4.2.1 After the training, a certificate or certificate of attendance is issued to each learner who participated in the in-service training.

4.2.1.1 The certificate is issued upon fulfillment of the following conditions: After completion of the training in full, a certificate is issued to the learner, if during the training the achievement of the learning outcomes were assessed and the learner achieved them.

4.2.1.2 The certificate of attendance is issued upon fulfillment of the following conditions: A certificate of attendance is issued to the learner after full participation in the training or upon its completion, if during the training the achievement of the learning outcomes was assessed, but the learner did not achieve the learning outcomes. The threshold for achieving the learning outcomes is >80% correct answers in the test and full participation in the practical exercises.

4.2.2 A certificate/certificate of attendance will not be issued to persons who are on the list of those registered for the training, but who did not participate in the training or who interrupted the training.

4.2.3 The trainer keeps an account of the trainings, the participants in the trainings and the certificates and certificates of attendace issued, and keeps the given data until the time prescribed by law.

4.2.4 In case of loss, destruction or violation of a certificate or certificate of attendance, the Trainer will issue a duplicate of the corresponding certificate based on the price list to the learners who have completed the in-service training upon application.

4.2.4.1 The duplicate of the certificate or certificate of attendance is prepared and issued in a similar way to the original certificate. The dates on the certificate/certificate of attendance, including the validity period, remain the same as on the original document.

4.2.4.2 The price of issuing a duplicate certificate, certificate of attendance and other language certificate or certificate attendance is 8 euros, plus VAT and shipping costs within Estonia.

4.2.5 Rights and obligations of the trainer and learner:

4.2.5.1 The Trainer has the obligation to ensure the quality of the training and compliance with the norms prescribed by law.

4.2.5.2 The Trainer is not responsible for the health condition and possible health damages of the training participant.

4.2.5.3 In order to complete the training, the learner is obliged to actively participate in the training, perform practical tasks according to the guidelines received from the Trainer, acquire the prescribed part of the theory and pass the test with a positive result.

4.2.6 Procedure for resolving disputes related to study regulations, etc.:

4.2.6.1 Possible disagreements between the Trainer and the learner/Customer will be resolved through negotiations.

4.2.6.2 If the problem cannot be resolved mutually, both parties can go to court to protect their rights.
