Pro Edu-Cat OÜ started its operations in September 2023. The founders of the company are two enthusiasts, both of whom started their healthcare careers at the Tallinn Emergency Medical Service (ambulance). We specialize in first aid training. We organize trainings mainly in Estonian, but if necessary we can also train in English. We believe that every person is capable of providing first aid if he/she has acquired the necessary skills!
We don’t believe in teaching first aid online, so we only offer face-to-face training. It is more effective to pass on theory and practice in meetings – this way interesting discussions also develop and the learning is of higher quality.
The procedure for first aid basic and refresher training course complies with Regulation No. 50 of the Minister of Health and Labour of the Republic of Estonia 22.11.2018 „The procedure for the training and refresher training of the working environment representative, member of the working environment council and provider of first aid in a continuing education institution”.
You can order us to train your company’s staff!
If there is no data projector/screen/TV with HDMI connection in the training room, please inform us in advance. In this case, we bring our own data projector.

My journey into nursing has been a bit curvy. I am from Central Estonia and I came to Tallinn Estonian Maritime Academy in 2004 to study as a watch officer of a ship. I finished school well, but due to health reasons I could not start working as a watch officer. I thought about what to do next, until I found a job advertisement where the Tallinn Emergency Medical Service was looking for drivers. I applied and got the job. My exposure to emergency medicine began through working in an ambulance, where I was initially an ambulance driver-paramedic (later called an ambulance technician). From there, I climbed the professional ladder until I had reached the top of my profession with the help of annual advanced training. I wanted to further develop myself in healthcare and I went to Tallinn Health Care College to study nursing. Now I work as an ambulance nurse in the Reanimation Department of the North Estonia Medical Centre and I am very satisfied with my choice of profession.
Calls related to children affect me the most, whether it’s a birth of a child or a serious accident. One of the happiest moments of my career so far is related to a home birth. The ambulance nurse brigade had already arrived at the scene and requested the help of the doctor (in reanimation department ambulance). The ER doctor was concerned that his last experience assisting with childbirth was during residency. I had previously answered about six unexpected home birth calls. The emergency doctor kept asking me for advice: “Tormi, what do we do now?” I gave all my knowledge. And when the mother of the baby and I got to the hospital, she said to me: “You know, Tormi. My husband and I were thinking about what we would name the child, and we also considered your name. Now we thought we’d name him Tormi.” It was so heartwarming. After a while, they brought me a basket of fruit and a photo of the child as a memento. It was so nice – such events I will remember for a long time.
I have been doing first aid trainings for a few years, every year I have also participated as a volunteer trainer in the “Your hands save life” project. It is an international action of healthcare workers, within the framework of which resuscitation techniques are taught to the population. In addition, as a teacher, I have developed the medical knowledge of students of Tallinn Arte High School and students of Tallinn Health Care College. I also train emergency workers all over Estonia. I enjoy passing on my knowledge and feel how I myself develop with each training session.
